In the event that you receive a NPI (Notice of Intended Prosecution)through the post for a speed camera offence, as a member of The Drivers' Club, all you need to do is contact us and we will arrange for one of our national network of solicitors to contact you. The Drivers’ Club covers the cost. Provided you follow our advice and that of the solicitor you should not receive a fine or have any more points at the end of the process.
If however you are unlucky enough to lose your licence through the 'totting up' process, even as a standard member you can claim a payout of £100 per month up to six months to cover the cost of public transport and taxis. You can upgrade this cover by becoming either a Gold, Platinum or Black Card Member. You will receive up to £500, £1000 and £1500 per month for the period of your ban*.
(*Please note that the cover is for minor speeding offences carrying a penalty of three points, we do not condone excessive speeding.
Convictions for dangerous driving and speeding offences which carry more than three points against your licence are not covered.
